Case study
Barco's high-quality Cockpit Head Down Displays have been selected by AERO Vodochody a.s. for integration into the L-159 trainer fleet of the Czech Air Force. The contract is part of a conversion program aimed at rebuilding four single-seat L-159s into two-seat trainer versions.
For this modification project, AERO selected Barco's 5 x 4 inch Cockpit Head Down Displays (CHDD), which are acclaimed for their excellent video quality and readability in both bright and dark ambient conditions while meeting stringent environmental requirements. The displays will be used as repeaters of the front position’s Primary Flight Display and Head Up Display respectively.
