Barco gets interactive with virtual chess exhibit at ASTC 2004
San Jose, CA – Barco’s 3D interactive exhibit concept plans to turn heads at ASTC 2004, September 18 - 21.
“We plan to generate a lot of interest and discussion this year at ASTC,” said Hernan Rodriguez, Director of Edutainment and Entertainment for the Americas for Barco's Simulation division. “We have many interactive and group learning concepts to share with attendees. We’re looking forward to technical discussions.”
At ASTC 2004, attendees will be treated to a 3D immersive, interactive chess playing exhibit, where players will be facing a virtual, life-size opponent. This exhibit is a simple, yet excellent demonstration of the use of the latest available Barco display technology for the purpose of educating and entertaining an audience. Concepts like the interactive chess exhibit can be extended to multi-user, group interaction scenarios. The interactive chess-playing exhibit is powered by Barco’s projection and stereo technology.
