BARCO Medical Imaging Boards Ready for Windows 2000
CHICAGO, 28 November, 1999 - BARCO rounds out its medical imaging board offering with the new BarcoMed® 4MP2, and announces compatibility with Windows 2000 for its full range of BarcoMed® high resolution medical imaging boards.
BARCO’s BarcoMed® 4MP2 is the latest addition to the BarcoMed® range, which is part of BARCO’s full offering for softcopy diagnosis, and has been designed for demanding medical applications which require high-resolution greyscale graphics. Designed for the standard PCI bus, the BarcoMed® 4MP2 features state-of-the-art technology for reliable and accurate image rendering and provides clear, flicker-free images with a resolution of 1728 x 2304 pixels. The BarcoMed® 4MP2 produces 256 levels of grey and drives two displays.Along with the full range of BarcoMed® imaging boards, the BarcoMed® 4MP2 is ready to run on Microsoft Windows 2000. Windows 2000 offers new flexibility to the display configuration because it can support an array of displays that differ in resolution, color depth and orientation. With multiple-head support under Windows 2000, displays do not need to be configured identically. For example, you can have one landscape 2MegaPixel color display and two portrait 5MegaPixel greyscale displays running on one system.
