Barco brings 8th Beijing Jazz Festival to life
(SHANGHAI, CHINA — 21 September 2007) Barco, a world leader in visualization and display solutions, announces its co-sponsorship of the 8th annual Beijing Jazz Festival.
A cooperative effort of the Beijing Midi School of Music and Beijing Midi Productions, the Beijing Jazz Festival will take place 21 -23 September at Haidian Park. The event is set to present 14 Chinese and 16 international acts in a series of outdoor performances over three exciting days.
This year the festival will feature two dynamic stages, the White Stage and the Blue Stage. Blue Stage performances will feature more traditional performers playing a wide range of styles, including Standard jazz, Swing, Cool jazz and Be-bop. The White stage will highlight more modern, contemporary styles of Jazz and World Music, such as Fusion, Latin, Flamenco, Rhythm & Blues and Funk.
Barco’s sponsorship role in the Beijing Jazz Festival includes providing the event with a featured LED screen made of a hundred S10 XP tiles (7.2m*4.2m, 30 SQM). The SLite 10 XP is the latest addition to Barco’s SLite family of outdoor LED displays. With its 10mm resolution, ultra high bright 5,500 Nit output, and rugged IP65 rating, the SLite 10 XP is the perfect product for all outdoor applications.
In addition to the festival’s large format S10 XP LED screen, viewing pleasure will also be enhanced by Barco’s B-10 mobile outdoor LED display. The B-10 employs a unique "Drive and Play" principle with a solution that can play back concerts, live video, sports events or virtually any kind of image you can imagine. Its 3.58m x 2.69m LED-wall comes in a trailer that can be pulled by a vehicle with a 3500kg towing capacity.
