Barco's LED processor features video processing delay of less than 2 ms
New enhancements to Barco’s DX-700 LED Processor improve the system’s delay specifications for delay-critical video applications.
Rancho Cordova, CA — 15 May 2009 — Image processing pioneer Barco is proud to announce significant enhancements to the DX-700 LED processor, designed to provide extremely low video delay for interlaced sources, without compromising the system's high image quality and scaling capabilities. The enhancements are ideally suited for live event applications such as press conferences on trade show floors.The new DX-700 now offers an extremely low latency “minimum delay mode” providing less than 2 ms of delay for interlaced and progressive sources in both SD and HD formats. A new “reduced delay” mode is introduced providing superb image quality at a much lower video processing delay — less than 2 ms for progressive sources and up to 25 ms for interlaced sources.
With these new enhanced delay modes, the total DX-700 delay working in conjunction with Barco's true black NX-4 and NX-6 LED walls can be as low as 42 ms for 50Hz and 35 ms for 59.94 Hz applications.
