Barco launches LED sports perimeter for maximum advertising revenue
Kortrijk, Belgium – 15 April 2010 - Barco, a world leader in visualization, is pleased to announce the launch of its SP-4816, a new LED sports perimeter system. Optimized for TV broadcasted field side advertisement, it guarantees perfect brand reproduction, based on over 10 years of experience in large display and broadcast market.
Barco's sports perimeter offers a real 16mm pixel pitch, both horizontally and vertically, and comes with the dynamic, content-agnostic advantages digital signage holds over traditional advertisement in sports stadiums. It boasts a superior contrast ratio, high brightness levels and a robust RGB LED configuration. It is estimated that owners of the perimeter can expect a solid return on their investment in about one year.As the system was designed specifically to meet the demands of advertisers, the sports perimeter can be genlocked with camera equipment. Together with the system's RGB LED configuration, this guarantees excellent brand reproduction in both day and night conditions, and results in flicker-free images with perfect colors on the television screen at home.
Another aspect that makes the system unique among its peers, is its optional patented brand-up display, which offers additional exposure of brands, leading to more advertising opportunities for clubs, leagues and international tournaments.
Designed with efficiency and ergonomics in mind, Barco's sports perimeter is designed to minimize transport, setup and teardown time, since 225m of the system easily fits into one truck. The sports perimeter is available as a fixed installation product as well. Customers have the choice to drive the display from both AC (main feed) or DC (battery) power supplies. On top of that the sports perimeter is compatible with Barco's broad range of image processing tools.
