[KB1197] Do I always need to start the application at the start of every meeting? (FAQ)

Short Description

To activate the ClickShare Button, an executable needs to run. You can start this executable manually when you plug a ClickShare Button into your USB port (go to the USB drive and launch the ClickShare for Windows or Mac executable. To have the executable run automatically (without having to start up the application manually each meeting), you can install the ClickShare Launcher service on your laptop.

To activate the ClickShare Button, an executable needs to run. You can either start this executable manually every time you plug a ClickShare Button into your USB port (go to the USB drive and launch the ClickShare for Windows or Mac executable. To have the executable run automatically (without having to start up the application manually each meeting), you can install the ClickShare Launcher service on your laptop. Visit the Technical Downloads section of the ClickShare product at www.barco.com. (Note - You will need administrator rights on the laptop to install this service). System administrators can roll out the ClickShare Launcher service automatically to all computers in their network. Please refer to KnowledgeBase item 1308 for more info on this.
