To activate the ClickShare Button, an executable needs to run. You can start this executable manually when you plug a ClickShare Button into your USB port (go to the USB drive and launch the ClickShare for Windows or Mac executable. To have the executable run automatically (without having to start up the application manually each meeting), you can install the ClickShare Launcher service on your laptop.

[KB1196] Do I need to install any software or an app on my PC or Mac to use ClickShare? (FAQ)

No, when you plug in the ClickShare Button, a drive will appear on your computer as a mass storage device. On this ClickShare drive, an executable program (file extension .exe) is available for Windows and for Mac. Double clicking this executable will start ClickShare application. When the meeting has ended, you can simply remove the ClickShare Button and nothing will be left on your computer. If you prefer, you can install ClickShare Launcher, which will ensure that ClickShare always opens automatically when a Button is inserted in your PC or Mac. Visit the Technical Downloads section of the ClickShare product at www.barco.com. You will need admin rights for your computer to install the ClickShare Launcher software.
