Barco Electronics Systems India wins Golden Peacock National Quality Award

Barco Electronics Systems, the Indian subsidiary of global visualization expert Barco, has won the much-coveted Golden Peacock National Quality Award in the ´electronics industry` category. The award is one of the highest accolades Indian companies can get for their Total Quality Management (TQM) efforts.

Established by the Institute of Directors in 1991, the Golden Peacock Award is a set of prestigious national and global awards, designed to improve productivity and quality in Indian organizations. The National Quality Award category acknowledges the organizations that distinguish themselves through impressive quality performance. The winners of the 2011 Quality Awards were selected by a team of quality, training and management experts, who assessed the large number of entries and scored them against key criteria. Noida-located Barco Electronics Systems scored best of all the competing electronics companies.

Barco Electronics Systems received the title during a dedicated award ceremony at the 22nd World Congress on Total Quality in Bangalore, on 20 January last, from the hands of the Honorable Dr. Veerappa Moily, India´s Union Minister for Corporate Affairs.
