Oxford is a unique and historic institution. The University of Oxford totals a student population of over 16,500. Almost a quarter of these students are from overseas, and more than 130 nationalities are represented.
Impact-Marcom, a leading UK visualisation specialist and long-time Barco dealer, installed and configured two Barco iQ R300 projectors, which are an integral part of the lecture theatre projection system. The projectors form part of a presentation system which is made up of various sources - DVD player, VHS video recorders, PC and laptop inputs, a 35mm slide projector, video conferencing units - all of which can be routed to either or both of the projectors.
In this way the lecturers are able to create multimedia presentations with different sources. They project onto a panoramic screen at the base of the lecture theatre - one projector for each half of the screen.
