Barco introduces unique LED display solution for TV studios
Duluth, USA – At this year's NAB show, Barco launches its cutting-edge LED display solution for backdrop applications in broadcast, delivering a stunning image to the television viewers at home. The LED display solution combines high brightness with excellent image uniformity and superb color gamut. By combining well proven LED technology with screen knowledge, interference between the camera and the LED pixel matrix, which can lead to Moiré patterns, is avoided.
This innovative product will be shown from 24 until 27 April 2006 at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) trade show and conference in Las Vegas.
Barco’s Broadcast LED is in 24/7 use at Sky News state-of-the-art studio complex in the UK. Measuring 14m x 3m, and 34 tiles long and 6 tiles high, the main news LED wall is has a total resolution of 2448 x 432 pixels. This is the first LED backdrop application in a 24/7 news environment in the UK.
