CPR MultiMedia Solutions and Barco Project the President at the Pentagon Memorial Service

Kennesaw, GA – October 11, 2001 - CPR MultiMedia Solutions selected Barco to provide high-performance displays for the Department of Defense Service of Remembrance, held one month after the devastating attacks on America. The event featured a special visit from President George W. Bush and was held at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. CPR MultiMedia Solutions, based in Washington, D.C., provided two 14’ x 18’ and two 9’ x 12’ Barco DLite LED walls for the event. Nocturne Productions and I-MAG Video also supplied equipment to CPR Multimedia for the event. President George W. Bush addressed thousands of military personnel and civilians on the Pentagon lawn. Participants included Chaplains from the U.S. Air Force, the U.S. Army, and the U.S. Naval Reserve, in addition to the Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld. The National Anthem and patriotic hymns were performed by the Military Chorus. The memorial was broadcast live on national television throughout the United States.

Two 14’ x 18’ Barco LED walls were used on the Upper Parade of the Pentagon lawn, facing the river and the Jefferson Memorial. Two 9’ x 12’ Barco LED walls were used on the Lower Parade supported on CPR’s self-contained, free-standing Tomcat truss system. All four walls were used to project brilliant, live images of the speakers and performers, in addition to graphics.

Jeff Studley, President of CPR MultiMedia Solutions stated, “As a nation, we are all mourning the loss of the brave men and women that perished on September 11th.
