Conflict detection is a very important service to increase safety by supporting the controller's decision-making tasks and reducing the workload.

Based on the evaluation and prediction of the movement of tracks obtained by processing the sensor data, the traffic situation is analyzed for typical conflict situations and traffic rule infringements which are highlighted on the traffic display.

We offer two levels of conflict detection - Basic and Advanced:

Basic Conflict detection: (already included in microVTS and miniVTS)

  • Range/bearing measurements
  • Guard area/line
  • Prohibited area
  • Swing circle

Advanced Conflict detection:

  • Restricted, dangerous or other special area (speed limit, platform)
  • Track-track conflicts (Closest Point of Approach/Time to Closest Point of Approach)
  • Buoy conflict
  • Speed limit
