Operating systems
EOS supports Windows NT/2000 as well as X Window System. Therefore EOS can easily be integrated in existing systems and put into operation with least effort.
Windows NT/2000
- The display is operated as one giant Windows NT/2000 desktop.
- No software modifications are necessary to display Windows NT/2000 applications.
- All applications can be operated by the local keyboard or under Windows NT remotely by any other Windows 95/98/NT/2000 computer (with optional software)
- Powerful Windows NT/2000 drivers tuned for large multiscreen video walls.
X Window system
- Supports all X.11 R6 compatible operating systems.
- Conforms to the internationally standardized X.11 protocol definition for the X Window System.
- For all X clients unrestricted use of the entire display area is possible
- The FullColor Card enables the X.11 Server to display two color modes simultaneously, e.g. 8 bit application / 16 bit video.
- Allows integration of NT applications running on any network PC via Windows NT TSE.
- Powerful extensions available like multi cursor, blinking, ...
- Support for multiple logical screens
Wall management software
Barco's Wall Mangement Software allows for remote as well as for local applications the management of the video wall in a user-friendly way. The layout of all windows can be determined and controlled dynamically. EOS operated as X-Terminal can be managed by Osiris, or if operated as Windows NT/2000 workstation it can be managed by Apollo.
Osiris

- Remote Wall Control provides the basic tools for supervising the display wall hardware.
- Remote Pointer gives the ability to manipulate objects on the display wall with the local mouse and keyboard.

VISUPlus
The Video Insertion Unit VISUPlus offers the possibility of integrating video and RGB information into the windows of a large display wall. VISUPlus displays video and RGB data with 16,7 million colors. With one device, up to four sources can simultaneously be displayed.
Video input unit
- Video input BNC connector
- S-Video input on 4-pin mini-DIN
- For color decoding, (down)scaling, medain filtering and scan conversion
- Supports broadcast standards PAL, NTSC and SECAM
RGB input unit
- RGB input on D15 connector
- (Down)scaling and scan conversion
- Input resolution up to 1280x1024 pixels
Output unit
- Either digital or analog connection to projector and EOS: PanelLink™ or D15 connector
- (Up)scaling
- To merge the video or RGB signals with the high resolution signals from EOS
- Up to 4 channels
