When SKY Italia, Italy's leading supplier of digital pay TV, moved to a spanking new broadcast facility in Milan in 2008, it decided to upgrade its broadcast monitoring platform at the same time. Barco's trusted iStudio solution was replaced by the groundbreaking Networked Broadcast Monitoring System (NBMS).
NBMS' new IP-centered approach enables operators to monitor the broadcast processes in real time from anywhere in the facility, providing unequalled levels of flexibility and scalability. In this way, NBMS helps SKY Italia to achieve one of its main objectives: offer its 4.8 million subscribers first-class entertainment and information, 24/7.
