BARCO will demonstrate new curved rear-projected blended BR Center with passive stereo
Xenia, OH - SIGGRAPH 2001 – August 13, 2001 – BARCO Simulation Products, a division of BARCO Projection Systems, will demonstrate a new curved rear-projection, blended BR Center with passive stereo in the ‘Emerging Technologies’ booth at the Siggraph 2001 trade show in Los Angeles, August 13 – 16. The display is a two-channel passive stereo BR Center, rear-projected on a curved screen using four dual-stacked 3D stereo-optimized BarcoReality SIM 6 projectors. The superior passive stereo quality is obtained using the combination of BARCO proprietary circular polarization glasses and a dedicated passive stereo optimized screen developed by BARCO, and the stereo optimized BarcoReality SIM 6 projector.
Other Barco equipment to be presented at Siggraph 2001 include new high-performance MICA (Mini CADWall), the new 908 Motorized Baron, the transportable BR Center, and the new Barco Galaxy Stereo DLP-based projector. Barco is located in booth number 1035 at the Siggraph Trade Show.
