HERMES D2D opens Barco's digital projection units the possibility to be connected alternatively to two graphical controllers. Therefore HERMES D2D is equipped with two digital inputs which are operated by RS232 Remote-Control.

RedundancySome fields of application require the connection of the projection cubes to identical graphical controllers: In a case of malfunction of one graphical controller it is immediately switched to the other graphical controller. This redundancy guarantees a permanent availability of the Display Wall.
Remote-ControlBy means of Remote-Control one input is selected to be the active one. If there is no signal applied at the desired input it is automatically switched to the other one. The Remote-Control is integrated in X Window. For Windows 95/98/2000/NT a software package is available for the convenient use of the Remote-Control functionality. For individual applications the open protocol is accessible.
