Barco's Cyberlight 2.0 automated luminaire was recently used for Erykah Badu's concert at the Palladium Ballroom in Dallas, Texas. Badu, with Jamie Foxx, hosted a “pre-record release” party to promote Badu's new album New Amerykah, Part Two: Return of the Ankh on Februray, 13. Light designer Martin Thomas chose the Cyberlight 2.0 for this event, and was so pleased he planned on integrating it into Badu's upcoming world tour. “The clean optics and the intensity of light output that enhanced the Dallas performance are going to be a welcome addition to the touring production, and having that associated with the speed of a moving mirror will create some stunning effects for the performance,” said Martin Thomas.
