CNOOC Tianjin: unique display to enhance exploration and production offshore China
Étude de cas
CNOOC is one of the three largest state-owned oil companies in China. For its evaluation center in Tianjin, Barco realised a 3channel display on a hughe 8.45m wide curved screen with a height of 2.38m.
Three blended Barco Galaxy 3chip DLP projectors deliver images with excellent brightness and color uniformity over the total display surface. The curved screen - radius 5.1m - provides a constant viewing distance for excellent detail perception from corner to corner, without causing eye fatigue. Thanks to rear projection team members can take a close look to details, without casting disturbing shadows on the display. The advanced passive Infitec stereo separation , complemented with Barco's Dynacolor color correction, results in unmatched depth perception enabling more accurate analysis of the ocean subsurface. Optimum performance of the display is guaranteed at all times thanks to the LDAT laser array allowing easy and quick projector realignment whenever necessary.
Barco's latest state of the art display technology at CNOOC's evaluation center at Tianjin will contribute to more accurate viewing of geophysical data, to enhance recovery and to optimise deepwater engineering and marginal oilfields development. It is an important supporting point for CNOOC to realize its strategic objective of making technical innovation its core competitiveness.
