Ate de Jong, director of ‘The Blitz’ ('Het Bombardement' in Dutch), predicts that Auro 11.1 will become the new standard for cinema audio. ‘The Blitz’ tells the story of a young boxer and a wealthy socialite whose quest for love is overshadowed by the German invasion and subsequent bombing of Rotterdam in 1940. “As the movie is filled with dramatic flyovers and enveloping war scenery, the sound format helps to bring the story in a better way,” explains Ate de Jong.
