Creating a giant snowflake at Snow Patrol's European tour

A dazzling show, with a video design featuring a giant snowflake. That was what the Scottish-Irish Snow Patrol wanted for their 2012 'Fallen Empires' tour in Europe. Barco partner XL Video supplied all video technical production for a really exciting set-up.

"Six trussing pods move into different positions throughout the show, culminating in a giant snowflake," explained Jo Beirne, project manager. "The undersides of the pods are clad with Barco's transformable FLX-24 LED pixel modules, which allow us to create extremely dynamic series of video surfaces. A fiber system connects the Barco DX700 processors running each pod back to the racks side stage." The 2012 European tour was the third cooperation between Snow Patrol and XL Video/Barco - and another success.
