Barco’s Galaxy NW-12 is the world’s first three-chip DLP projector with a native WUXGA (1920x1200) resolution for the training and simulation markets.
High-quality, fast-moving imagery
Thanks to the Galaxy NW-12’s three-chip DLP display technology and bright light output, it brings unparalleled color accuracy and a heightened sense of realism to any simulation experience. The Galaxy is also outfitted with smearing reduction technology, which optimizes it for high-speed simulation such as fast jet and rotary wing training, and increases the overall sense of realism.
High resolution, low maintenance
Barco’s Galaxy NW-12 boasts a WUXGA (1920x1200) resolution. This means that to equal or surpass the typical resolutions found in today’s simulation systems, you need a much lower number of projectors. In addition, the Galaxy NW-12 is designed with a fully sealed, liquid-cooled optical engine. This not only prevents dust from entering the projector’s interior, it also eliminates routine maintenance procedures and strongly reduces potential system downtime.
Optimized for system integration
Barco’s Galaxy NW-12 is optimized for multi-projector system integration through various features:
• Edge blending technology creates one continuous image without blurry overlap zones where projections converge.
• DynaColor and linked constant light output (CLO) ensure the same light and color levels across the entire screen.
• Warping (geometry correction) enables accurate projection from different angles and across spherical or curved surfaces.
