The Model 5070 Bogey target projector is specifically designed and manufactured to image full-color, high-resolution aircraft targets and to simulate Fresnel Lens Optical Landing Systems (FLOLS). As a target projector, Bogey significantly enhances a pilot's ability to detect the aspect (orientation) of distant aircraft, as well as to determine "friend or foe" status.
Bogey substantially improves a pilot's ability to detect the critical visual cues needed for glideslope approaches in carrier landing simulations.
