Case study
Aéroport de Paris (ADP) runs a network of 14 airports and aerodromes in the vicinity of Paris. To meet its training needs, ADP built its own air traffic control simulator adjacent the primer Roissy airport tower. A 360° out-of-the-window-view of the airport tower is displayed by eight Barco SIM4 DLP projectors on a screen with 10m (32.81ft.) diameter and a height of 2.56 m (8.4 ft.).
Features of the ADP simulator include the possibility to move from the 'tower eye point' to a 'pilot eyeview'. Precise controls simulate weather, time of day, cloud coverage, lightning and snow. Next to the ADP ATC tower simulator, Barco also partners for the maintenance including on line support, preventive maintenance and on site repair.
