A ‘Excite’-ing two-day introduction to the visual revolution

High-end 3D visualization solutions are appealing to more and more industries, across the globe. Clear proof of that is the keen interest shown at last week’s RTT Excite 2014 in Munich. Visitors to the 7th edition of the international 3D visualization summit enthused about the demos of the latest 3D technology and the speeches by leading industry experts and research institutes. As a Silver Partner to the event, Barco supplied a high-resolution Galaxy 4K projector and a three-channel, panoramic OverView Seamless Videowall (OSV) on which to demonstrate the groundbreaking RTT applications.

Bringing products to life
Established in Munich in 1999, RTT develops creative and fascinating 3D visualization solutions, which bring products to life in real time and portray them in a natural and realistic environment. The company provides help during each stage of the life cycle of products - from the initial product design stage through to development and subsequent marketing and sales. Since 2008, RTT has been organizing its annual ‘Excite’ summit - both in Munich and in the United States - to highlight its expertise in the field of 3D visualization and inspire businesses to use virtual reality to speed up and optimize their operations.

Bright images, panoramic canvas
Barco’s powerful Galaxy 4K-32 projector was ideal to showcase the RTT solutions during this year’s event. With its 4K (4096x2160) resolution and 32,000 lumen light output, the Galaxy 4K-32 visualizes the brightest 3D images. The OverView Seamless Videowall (OSV), for its part, ensures the largest, most immersive canvas possible. Launched earlier this year, the panoramic, curved OSV screen generates a natural immersive feeling and provides excellent viewing ergonomics from every position in the room. The demos, presentations and workshops during Excite 2014 were ideal for Barco to highlight the fact that it has just the right solutions in its product portfolio to support companies in their ‘visual revolution’.
