Barco 3D visualization solutions are prime choice for medicine and science

Orlando, FL – Visit booth 108 at the Academy of Molecular Imaging’s Annual Meeting and witness the power of Barco’s 3D visualization solutions for medical and scientific research.

“Barco Simulation offers a broad selection of tools to aid the scientific and medical community,” said Ken Hunter, Director of Sales and Marketing for Virtual & Augmented Reality for Barco Simulation. “Our solutions allow researchers to visualize relationships between complex data sets faster, better, and more intuitively. Scientists and medical professionals will discover information in 3D they couldn’t imagine in 2D.”

This year at AMI, Barco will demonstrate its 3D visualization capabilities with the TRACETM. The TRACE is a Team Room Application Collaborative Environment offering the most advanced technology available today for team collaboration to visualize, analyze, and explore complex scientific and medical data. The system features team room collaboration without any modifications or build-out. The TRACE enables teams to visualize data in a well-lit room, allowing for better eye-to-eye collaboration. Active 3D stereo display enhances intuitive understanding and accurate analysis of complex data, and real-time interaction leads to quick, team decision-making. In addition, the Barco TRACE is scalable from a single-channel to multi-channel configuration.

Also at the AMI, Barco will present details on other 3D visualization solutions suited for scientific and medical research such as the Baron, the GeminiTM, and MICA. The Baron is a high-performance projection table ideal for cost-effective research ranging from scientific research and molecular modeling to prototype designing. This system enables multiple users to simultaneously evaluate a 3D representation and make changes as a group, thereby reducing the time-to-market and the cost of development. The Gemini is an entry-level, single-channel stereoscopic projection solution with market-leading active-to-passive stereo conversion. It enables medical, pharmaceutical, and scientific researchers to expand their visualization facilities, while new markets will finally find an entry-level package to start using the fascinating capabilities of virtual reality. The MICA is an all-in-one transportable passive stereo solution. Its rugged, modular design functions as a mini, transportable CADWall that can be easily set-up at different locations, which makes it ideal for mobile research and development applications or to analyze and interact with data in a restricted space. The MICA immerses the user in a stereoscopic 3D world, even in demanding environmental light conditions.
