Barco wins 2017 Award for Best Financial Communication
Kortrijk, Belgium, 24 November 2017 – The Belgian Association of Financial Analysts (BVFA/ABAF) rewards Barco’s Investor Relations with the 2017 Award for Best Financial Communications. After finishing second in the small and mid cap category in 2016, Barco is proud to now win gold in both the ‘small and mid caps’ and in the overall category. Barco received the award during a ceremony at the WDP offices in Wolvertem last night.
The Award for Best Financial Communication, which BVFA/ABAF has been presenting annually since 1957, aims to recognize excellence in communication with the financial community. A professional jury, consisting of members of the investor associations and local and international financial analysts, choses the winner from 50 Belgian listed companies. In the selection process, they thoroughly screen and give a score to all aspects of financial communication: non-financial information (strategy, solutions and services, risks, etc.), financial information (annual report, press releases, financial statements and notes) and investor relations.

Barco had the highest overall score this year, thus winning the award. “We are absolutely delighted to take home gold,” says Carl Vanden Bussche, Vice President Investor Relations at Barco. “This award is truly a tribute to the entire team: our Investor Relations team and our Corporate Communications and Finance colleagues.
