Barco Residential projectors are designed and built in our technology centers in Belgium and Norway. Know-how and craftmanship not only belong to our culture. They're part of our DNA.
Bragi Cinemascope is a true solid-state projector, using the latest in HLD and LED illumination technology, combines performance and extreme reliability. Providing the ultimate in image clarity with exceptional color fidelity and razor-sharp imagery, the result is pure performance and fun. The viewer will be totally immersed into the perfect movie experience. Bragi Cinemascope has a motorized DCI/P3 filter for HDR performance, meaning that the projector will support both SDR and HDR viewing.
The unit has a solid magnesium front and baseplate, act as mounting plates. Bragi CS can actually be hung on the wall just in the front plate. Coupled with an array of mounting points in the front and on the top, makes this projector extremely flexible, the freedom of mounting point’s works perfectly with our unique warp engine. The projector takes the next step in preparation for architectural integration.
By basing Bragi’s cinemascope optical engine on it’s bigger brother Balder CS architecture, custom designed aspherical glass elements and enhanced low dispersion glass lenses, image quality is in a class of its own. To top that, Bragi CS’s frame and core is built in Aluminium and Magnesium. The result is the best picture quality ever shown at this level.
Bragi Cinemascope will be our smallest 5K projector, with 21,5kg weight, but also a small foot print, 450, 457, 244mm (wxdxh) Power consumption is low and the unit will whisper quietly at 30dB in full power. The projector will be producing 2000 perfect LED lumens. LED colors are more saturated, our eyes are tricked to interpret this as richer and brighter colors than they are physically measured. Bragi Cinemascope will offer colors in both REC709 and in P3/DCI color mode.
Bragi Cinemascope is taking its name from an historical ninth-century poet. His poems were so outstandingly artful and moving that subsequent generations imagined that, upon his death, Odin had appointed him the court poet of Valhalla. Bragi is also Odins son and Balders brother. That alone should say enough about the performance of this new projector.
Bragi Cinemascope inherit Balders design language, optical core and lenses. Bragi will have the same PULSE electronic and SW platform powered by a revolutionizing new LED engine.

he Bragi Cinemascope is built on the proprietary Barco Pulse software platform. The powerful and flexible architecture of Barco Pulse allows for easy installation, no scaling artefacts and full freedom in architectural integration. “Pulse” electronics have been designed to process 4K with HDMI 2.0a and HDCP 2.2 and the optical engine is utilising the very latest 0,9-inch DMD DLP chipset, delivering 5120 x 2,160 pixels on screen. Bragi also features HDR, motorised lenses and auto aspect detection between 16:9 and CinemaScope. Featuring Barco’s unique RealColor processing, Bragi enables simple and accurate calibration to any desired white point or greyscale.
Inside Pulse we also find the tool called Prospector, it is web interface to the projector that can be controlled from all devices with a built in web browser. Prospector includes all the features that is built into the projector and it’s very intuitive and easy to use. We deliver new upgrades within Pulse several times per year with picture improvements, added features. Pulse is therefore the ultimate tool to make any system futureproof and scalable.
