Setting the standard in breast tomosynthesis in South America
A growing number of hospitals and imaging centers are taking breast screening and diagnosis to the next level, by embracing breast tomosynthesis. The Centro de Diagnósticos Brasil (CDB)-Premium pioneered the technology in South America, in 2010, following an initiative by Aron Belfer, M.D. and radiologist. Always a frontrunner, Dr. Belfer believes that breast tomosynthesis is the next great technology in mammography. To ensure good results, both the breast tomosynthesis system and the diagnostic display system have to be first class. “I’ve tried several other displays but only Barco’s Mammo Tomosynthesis 5MP offers the brightness, high resolution, contrast and speed of processing that this technology requires. I’m now looking forward to trying the Coronis Uniti,” he says.
