What do you do if the World Creativity Forum – Europe’s biggest conference on entrepreneurial creativity – is hosted only a stone’s throw away from the Barco headquarters? Make sure you’re there to catch the eye and highlight your commitment to creativity and innovation, no? So did Barco in 2014. And it succeeded very well in impressing the over 2,000 attendees with a super-creative AV set-up.
With internationally acclaimed speakers like economist Steven D Levitt, author Guy Kawasaki HDX or architect Zaha Hadid on stage, event organizers Flanders DC wanted the very best visualization solutions. As an official event partner, Barco installed four HDX projectors to display presentations and videos (with an overshoot) on eight screens (4 x a landscape/portrait set-up). In addition, seven RLM-W8 projectors visualized clouds on the 34x4m backdrop screen.
The visualization was powered by Barco’s FSN Production System, which Barco had fully configured. The set-up consisted of eight cameras sending the signal over coaxial wires to the FSN system. The presentation computers were also fed into the FSN where all major switching and routing was done, with a full overview in the integrated Multiviewer. The FSN system then fed the different screens in the auditorium as well as outside. In addition, the auditorium featured two of Barco’s OBLX freestanding structures (2x2 OVD LCD), onto which an X2O created and distributed social media feeds related to the Forum.
“Wonderful experience at #cwf14” was one of the many tweets that appeared on-screen. Barco was proud to be the visualization partner of this inspiring and refreshing ‘festival of ideas’!
