Barco and Proximex enhance command and control center operations with new technology integration

A new technology integration by Barco and Proximex is helping control room operators maximize situational awareness and enhance decision making in their security and surveillance centers. The Surveillint Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) software platform combines incident information with security policies and operations for faster analysis and resolution. By fully embracing the concept of perspectives (grouping of cameras and other sources) in Barco’s CMS environment, it now facilitates information sharing via the centralized console, resulting in shorter reaction times, faster analysis and resolution.

Within the Surveillint central console, the operator can select from pre-programmed perspectives for loading onto Barco CMS-powered video walls or displays. Based on Rules and Business Logic, the sharing of perspectives can be triggered based on events. In addition Proximex has integrated the workflow to easily push the entire operator screen to other displays. Because the integrated platform leverages the existing display management and visual collaboration system, training time is greatly reduced.
