DERMSCAN Research Partnership
DERMSCAN is a project, supported by the Flemish government, led by Barco and its research partners. The purpose was to develop new, digital, multispectral dermatoscope technology to support in the image acquisition and analysis of skin lesions. The project has advanced to DERMSCAN II, which will extend the applications to disorders other than skin cancer (e.g. inflammatory skin diseases, such as psoriasis, eczema and others). It will address the entire clinical chain from screening and first line care to diagnosis and treatment assessment aiming at laying the foundations for the transfer of the tested and validated research outcomes into standard practice.
