Applicable to

From ClickShare Conference firmware version 2.5.0.1 onward, camera resolutions of 720p are supported on ClickShare Conference systems, for supported camera devices.

Note

The list of working peripherals can be found on the supported peripherals overview page. It contains the non-exhaustive list of USB cameras, USB speakerphones and touch panels that have been tested by the ClickShare development team and/or the partner's development teams.

The maximal video feed supplied by the ClickShare Button or Desktop app is 720p@30fps. Please consult the spec sheet from the peripheral manufacturer to verify if the device is capable of achieving this.

The camera/all-in-one that supports the MJPEG codec can reach the 720p@30fps.

The camera/all-in-one that supports the YUYV codec can only reach the 576@30fps or 540@30fps.

The resolution on the screen is the result of the peripheral exposing its resolution options to the ClickShare Base Unit and the ClickShare button or app exposing these options to the software on the laptop as if the peripheral were to be directly connected. It is then for the software to select the optimal resolution.

Being unable to reach the best possible resolution can be the result of the UC&C tool not selecting the best option or from additional configuration settings. Take note that the resolution broadcasted is not always equal to the resolution observed by the conference partner, sometimes a reduction is necessary to account for network bandwidth and/or stability.
