Problem

When a Barco Fusion Display is configured in SingleView mode in an eGFX configuration with a MXRT-5600, restarting of the eGFX configuration may lead to the system failing to boot into Windows or the Operating System to freeze.

Solution

As of the time of this publication, the eGFX and Thunderbolt connections do not support the Barco Fusion displays in SingleView mode. A fix to support SingleView in this configuration is currently under investigation.

Workaround

To bring the system back to an operational state, the Thunderbolt has to be unplugged and the laptop rebooted.

Open the Barco System Settings Control Panel and check to be sure the SingleView mode settings are disabled. If not, then disable SingleView mode to set the fusion display to DualView mode.

It has also been found that the 10.171.2.0 Self-extracting driver installs Singlview as default for Fusion displays. If this is the case, please follow these steps to resolve the issue

  1. Please clean the system by following the following Knowledgebase article: Uninstall MXRT drivers using the Barco System Cleaner tool [KB7640]
  2. Then download and install this version of the 10.171.2.0 driver, which installs DualView as default.. K5408260-02.00.zip
