All eyes on the Criança Esperança fundraising campaign

Every year since 2004, Globo TV, Brazil’s largest TV network, and UNESCO have been hosting the Criança Esperança fundraising campaign. Via a live TV show, featuring performances by Brazil's most acclaimed artists, the campaign collects donations to support Espaços Criança Esperança (ECE), centers where children, teenagers and adults from deprived families find leisure activities as well as training. To make the 2013 show a truly attention-grabbing event, Globo TV called in the help of AV expert Play Projeções.

Play Projeções designed a top-notch video mapping solution for the stage, featuring a wide variety of abstract images that switched every time a different performer came on stage. Twelve of Barco’s FLM-HD20 projectors helped the backdrop come to life.

Thanks to its light output of over 20,000 lumens, the FLM-HD20 can display widescreen, high-contrast images of superior quality, even in venues with lots of ambient light. Its superior video processing and picture-in-picture capabilities, allow users to display the most interactive, energizing presentations, without the need for extra peripherals. Moreover, liquid cooling technology cuts noise levels to a minimum, making the FLM-HD20 a very silent projector too.

Mr. Robson Guerra, Play's partner & technical director was delighted with the result at the TV show, as was TV Globo. “I’ve been in the projection business for over 20 years and helped introduce the Barco brand in Brazil. 100% of our projector inventory is Barco due to its unquestionable quality,” he explains. “For this particular show, all the objectives have been perfectly met and our client was delighted with the outcome.” The Criança Esperança TV show was broadcast to more than 10,000,000 homes all over Brazil.
