By fitting the Flagship Laser projector into our PLUS+ Theater we’re again raising the bar for entertainment here in Lebanon.

World Media Holding is the fastest growing company in cinema development in the Middle East. Besides owning its own design and construction arms as well as film distribution and production outfits, the group also operates two cinema brands. CinemaCity, which runs a growing number of cinemas in Lebanon, the UAE and Jordan, is one of them. In December 2013, the group made news headlines when it opened Lebanon’s largest cinema in Beirut Souks in downtown Beirut. Three years later it surprised film lovers with … the power of Barco’s Flagship Laser projector.

Raising the bar for entertainment

The 14-screen Beirut cinema features one PLUS+ Theater, equipped with a large screen and the most advanced audiovisual technology, including laser projection. Committed to delivering exceptional audience experiences, CinemaCity expressed its interest in Barco’s Flagship Laser projectors in 2015 already. “Everything about our cinemas is designed for the enjoyment of our guests. By fitting the Flagship Laser projector into our PLUS+ Theater we’re again raising the bar for entertainment here in Lebanon,” says Maya Kfouri, Marketing Manager at CinemaCity.

More Barco projection in the pipe

The cinema chain has plans to equip two 'Prime Cinemas' theaters at the future Adbali Mall in Amman, Jordan – to open later this year – with Barco Flagship Laser projectors too. The new deals with CinemaCity mark another step forward in the expansion of Barco’s premium laser projection technology in the Middle East: a growing network of cinemas in the region are resolutely opting for the brightness of the Barco Flagship Laser projectors.
