Presenting a visual feast
The scenarist team deployed 20 Barco UDX-4K32 projectors to project the performances and panoramic images on giant irregular objects. The remarkable presentation treated the audience to an amazing visual feast!
In the ‘Eight Female Fighters’ dance − which presented the scene of revolutionary army women jumping into the river, preferring to die than to surrender − the projection was cast onto a 26 by 13 meter veil curtain from close up in order to saturate the images with dazzling colors. The UDX-4K32 projectors transformed the veil curtain into a quiet river floating in the air, intensifying the dramatic music and the actors’ beautiful, expressive dance on the stage.
In ‘Goodbye, Mother’, images were projected onto the actors to depict a ‘camouflage net’ that accented a touching scene of ‘heroic parting’ in the midst of a battle.
Widest color spectrum in the industry
The UDX-4K32 projectors feature 4K UHD resolution and 31,000 lumens light output to bring accurate colors and razor-sharp 4K images to every type of event and venue. The UDX platform offers the widest color spectrum in the industry − with the Constant Light Output (CLO) functionality ensuring constant brightness and color over time.
Barco’s technology, components and attention to detail produce images with stunning visual effects. Without compromising on brightness, the UDX-4K32 color quality matches the renowned Xenon quality and outperforms the Rec. 709 color space − plenty of capability to meet the PLA gala’s innovative projection requirements.
