Inaugurations and celebrations? Time for Barco projectors!
“We’re delighted with your projectors and will keep you posted on our projects,” wrote Jan Vanbriel, CEO of the Belgian firm Beam-Inc. He kept his word and provided us with videos of projection mappings at two special occasions in Belgium: the inauguration of the Muntpunt information center in Brussels and the kick-off of HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR ACADEMIE, a series of events to celebrate 350 years’ Royal Academy of Fine Arts and 50 years’ fashion department in Antwerp. Barco’s FLM-R22 projectors did a great job in both Belgian cities.
Located at the very heart of Brussels, the Muntpunt wishes to become a central point for information that fosters collaborations and connections between people, groups and organizations in Brussels. The birds, vivid colors and people coming together in the projection mapping designed for its opening night, perfectly illustrated that commitment.
The mapping on the façade of the Antwerp Royal Academy, upon the launch of the birthday celebrations, was designed by students, alumni and teachers of the multimedia department of Graphic Design. The images were flashy, vivid and eye-catching, as behooves an academy of arts/ fashion institute.
