“Cats have too many kittens and should be sterilized to prevent thousands of kittens from being dumped”: that is the belief of Belgian animal right’s organization GAIA. To underpin that idea and urge the national government to pass a law forcing cat owners to neuter their cats, GAIA conducted a remarkable, slightly provocative, campaign: for five evenings on end, a giant cat-house was beamed onto the side of the Crowne Plaza hotel in Brussels.
Projection mapping specialist Beam-Inc used two ultra-bright Barco FLM-R22 projectors to visualize the lovable cats in the cat-house. The clear, crisp images, which were combined with neon lights, definitely managed to turn the heads of passers-by and the campaign got an incredible amount of press coverage, even across the Belgian borders…
