The show – which celebrated the start of the Chinese lunar Year of the Sheep – marked the 11th consecutive time Barco had provided visualization support. And this time, they had a special surprise up their sleeve: the worldwide debut of the Moving Mirror System (MMS) in a large-scale show.
Eight HDF-W26 projectors, complete with MMSs, produced a stunning visual program, including the acrobatic performance ‘Blue and White Porcelain’, combining distinctive Chinese features and modern elements.
The MMSs enabled the director to deliver pristine HD images to multiple locations from a single projector, making optimal use of available resources. “The equipment performed magnificently”, Sha said after the gala. “I fully expect the MMS to take Chinese stage design to a higher level.”
