Barco Residential’s Prometheus III is exclusively created for high-end home theaters, with more contrast and a wider color gamut. It features the latest 4K DLP® chipsets from Texas Instruments and the acclaimed Barco Alchemy Integrated Cinema Media Processor (ICMP), to faithfully reproduce even the subtlest nuance of color and detail on screen.

As the opening credits roll, the audience is transported to an unexpected world of superior movie realism, embraced by the ultimate image quality and immersive sound. This compelling universe is created by Barco Residential’s Prometheus III.
High-end simplicity
Prometheus III combines media server functionalities with cinema processing electronics: Barco Alchemy Integrated Cinema Media Processor (ICMP) with HDMI 2.0a and HDCP 2.2 support The ICMP have two HDMI inputs to support Bluray, DVD’s, gaming consoles and other media devices. The projector offers advanced processing power combined with media server functionality, integrated playback and content management. Barco Alchemy enables showings of 4K 2D content at 60fps and 4K 3D at 30fps. Reducing the required hardware makes installation simpler and makes the system more reliable and easier to use.
4K at the highest level
Several new components enhance the Prometheus III. A dedicated 4K (4 x 3Gb/s) input board enables playback of native 4K content. Barco’s renowned DCI-compliant image quality with the outstanding uniformity that’s unique to laser illumination. The Smart Laser projectors show improved image quality on your dedicated screen and are fully compatible with popular 3D systems. Additionally, the projector’s light output remains constant over time when used according to recommended practices. Barco Residential’s Cinema at home series offer even higher contrast, 4,500:1 sequential / 600:1 ANSI contrast.

Illumination
A unique blue laser phosphor light engine developed by Barco.
Blue lasers are selected based on their high density and power efficiency.
DCI Compliant
Confirming to DCI specifications, this projector allows clients to view DCP (Digital Cinema Packages) content via supporting 3rd party hardware, bring commercial content to the home.
HDMI 2.0 / HDCP 2.2
HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2 allow this projector to support consumer video standards including 4K UHD and HDR10.
Very High Contrast
Specifically optimised for the residential market this projector uses very high contrast (VHC) optical components and lens options, offering exceptional image clarity and ANSI contrast.
HDR10
HDR10 support allows viewers to enjoy HDR content from consumer sources such as UHD Blu-Ray and streaming services.
Calibration
Using professional cinema calibration standards this projector can be accurately calibrated to match both consumer and commercial cinema color spaces.
