At present, the Help Error button has no functionality assigned to it, and it is reserved for future use.

Layout
Image 12–17

The Layout function button allows for selection and recall of layouts where applicable.

Multi-viewer, Console Buttons and Programming page layouts are currently implemented.

To select a Layout use syntax like:

The same number of layouts is available as in the GUI. Layout changes also act as they do in the GUI.

When a layout is selected, changes are recalled for that layout in real time, automatically.

Pressing Layout button will populate the Smart Displays with:

Contextual ButtonDisplayDescription
CD1MVR LAYOUT MVR (CD1) 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 ENTER will recall Layout 1 – 4 respectively into the Multi-viewer
CD2Program

LAYOUT Program (CD 2) 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 ENTER will recall Layout 1 – 4 respectively into the Programming Window.

The Programming page can have up to ten layouts.

CD3ConsoleLAYOUT Console (CD 3) 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 ENTER will Recall Layout 1 – 4 respectively into the Assign Buttons.
Screens
Image 12–18

The Screens button is used to change the active top menu page in the displays of the controller. There are controls for both internal displays (and for one external display on the EC-210).

The built-in touchscreens are numbered 1 and 2. The DVI outputs on the back of the EC-200 mirror those monitors, while the output on the EC-210 shows a discrete third instance of the Event Master Toolset.

When the Screens button is pressed, the contextual displays will be populated with:

Contextual ButtonDisplayDescription
CD1Config 1Changes the left touchscreen's active menu to the Configuration Page.
CD2Program 1 Changes the left touchscreen's active menu to the Programming Page.
CD3MVR 1Changes the left touch screen's active menu to the Multiviewer Page.

Save PVW (Save from Preview)
Image 12–19

Once pressed this button latches the function “Save from PVW Mode” and lights its LED as GREEN. This allows the user to store one or several Templates / Presets or User Keys after the syntax from Preview.

Note: When the LED is RED, it indicates that the Save PGM button turned the EC-200/EC-210 in “Save PGM Mode”.

Example of use:

If either Save PVW or Save PGM is latched and the other is pressed it cancels the previous latch.

The GUI Button Save PVW will turn red to indicate the latched record state.

Save PGM (Save from Program)
Image 12–20

Once pressed this button latches the function “Save from PGM Mode”. This allows the user to store one or several Templates / Presets or User Keys after the syntax from Program.

Note: This button does not have its own LED. Therefore, the LED on the Save PVW button will light RED to indicate that the "Save from PGM Mode" is active.

Example of use:

If either Save PGM or Save PVW is latched and the other is pressed it cancels the previous latch.

As the Button for Save PGM does not have an internal LED the GUI also must indicate that the button is latched. The GUI Button Save PGM will turn red to indicate the latched record state.
