About
Pulse 2.10 (and later) introduces several additional security controls that are activated by default under factory settings. These security controls improve network and device security. However, they do change the methods available to communicate with the device under default configuration. The following is a summary of the changes that impact existing applications:
- Addition of the “Device setup process”
- Removal of the default users
- PIN-code authentication disabled by default.
- Disabling unsecure communication protocols and ports (HTTP over port 80, TCP over port 9091).
- Removal of the legacy web interface (port 9999)
- Custom test pattern upload disabled by default.
