About room systems

Room systems no longer require local participants to join the meeting. The room hardware joins the meeting using the configured room account. This room account is managed through the hardware present in the meeting room. In most cases this is done through a touch panel or touch display. When no touch panel and no touch display are available, a keyboard and mouse must be present to control the room account.

ClickShare as a room system

ClickShare supports room systems in two ways:

• ClickShare as certified room system hardware. (for Hub Core and Hub Pro)
• ClickShare connected as a peripheral to certified room system hardware. (for CX-50 Gen2)

Sharing content in room systems

Any content shared through ClickShare in a room system automatically appears both on the local meeting room display as well as to the remote participants. No additional configuration or settings are required. The device sharing the content is also not required to have joined the meeting. The remote sharing is managed through the room account that joined the meeting. For more information, see “Room-based meeting with ClickShare”.
