Artificial Intelligence (AI) models are designed to handle situations where the variables are unknown or complex. These models use machine learning to create a solution based on the learning.
Autorun
Autorun starts a program automatically when it is connected to a device. Some security measures prevent applications from starting without user interaction. If these measures are active, autorun will not work and the program must be started manually.
AV equipment
Audio-Video (AV) equipment refers to specialized hardware that supports audio, video or both audio and video related capabilities. This equipment can be a standalone peripheral or built-in to other hardware.
Base Unit
The Base Unit is the central hardware enabling the ClickShare functionality. This hardware is typically installed near the displays of the meeting room. Depending on the meeting room, the Base Unit can be hidden or made inaccessible.
Button
The Button is a wireless dongle that sets up and maintains a wireless connection between the user device and the Base Unit of the meeting room. While plugged in a USB port of the user device, the Button is detected as a USB mass storage device.
Conferencing app
A conferencing application sends audio, video and content over the internet to and from the participants. Joining a meeting through a conferencing app is seen as being a remote participant.
DisplayPort Alt Mode
DisplayPort alternate mode allows compatible USB-C ports to function as DisplayPort ports. These ports can send DisplayPort signals alongside any other data or power that is normally supported by standard USB ports.
IP address
An IP address is a numeric address given to a device on a network. A generation four address (IPv4) is built up using four digits between ‘0’ - ‘255’, for example ‘192.168.0.50’. This allows different network devices to find each other on the network.
PowerShell
PowerShell is a built-in tool that runs scripts on Windows devices. The commands, progress and output are displayed in the command line interface of PowerShell.
Terminal
A terminal is a program that lets a user do actions through commands in a Command Line Interface (CLI). These actions are often intended to affect specific folders or locations on the device. For this reason, it is important to be aware of the active directory (folder) that the terminal is currently working with.
Touch panel
A touch panel is a touch screen tablet connected to a room system. This tablet allows for management of the meeting room account. The touch panel offered by ClickShare is called the Control Panel.
Wi-Fi
Wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi) is a wireless network that is sent out by a Wi-Fi capable network device. Connection to the Wi-Fi network is possible as long as the device is within range of the Wi-Fi capable network devices making up the network.
