Making history as the first all-laser multiplex in the world, Santikos has fully embraced Barco laser projectors as its "go to" solution for entertaining moviegoers at its upcoming site, the Casa Blanca Theatre opening in San Antonio, Texas. The 110,000-square-foot development will include a 16-screen theater with 80-foot screens in a number of auditoriums, as well as a bowling center with a similar number of lanes.

Santikos was one of the first exhibitors to embrace Barco’s Flagship Laser projector. Based upon their success, Santikos is expanding to all laser for its new Casa Blanca Theatre. Barco’s laser fleet provides the ideal combination of performance output and economic value, simplifying operations by removing the costs and maintenance associated with lamp-based projectors.

The Texas-based exhibitor’s new Casa Blanca Theatre will utilize Barco’s Flagship and laser phosphor projectors to brilliantly and efficiently illuminate all 16 screens, offering Santikos’ customers exceptional image quality and unmatched 3D brightness.

“Laser projection is a game changer for moviegoer experiences and our internal operations,” comments Art Seago, President of Santikos Theatres. “Laser projects the best images and completely eliminates the labor, cost and variability of xenon bulbs. Our guests expect Santikos Theatres to be at the forefront of technology, and Barco laser is now the pinnacle of cinema projection. We are proud to outfit the Casa Blanca Theatre with the best products our industry offers.”

The new multiplex is scheduled to open Spring 2016.
