Barco’s HDR Lightsteering technology has been dazzling audiences at multiple studio demos and film festivals.
While the French cinemas are yet to come to HDR, Barco Lightsteering already came to them: the visitors of the Cannes Film Festival were treated to the new and improved image quality of HDR cinema that only Barco’s Lightsteering technology can bring.
In an exclusive showcase of KineCatalyst “1.618 Cinema Club” cinema experience at the 78th Congress of the National Federation of French Cinemas, Barco HDR Lightsteering, coupled to a Barco APX renderer for immersive IAB , powered by QSC and DTSX audio systems will be presented. The purpose-built premium auditorium will bring to people attending the congress a full immersive HDR experience. The showcase will include HDR content specifically graded for the occasion, immersive audio mixes; as well as presentations on HDR projection, HDR content workflows and KineCatalyst “1.618 Cinema Club”.
The 78th Congress of the National Federation of French Cinemas, will be held from September 18 to 21 in Deauville. The 2023 edition adds a must attend technology showcase for the french exhibitors, the studios and the content creators.
