Ensuring an amazing cinema experience
With roots going back to the first Slovene Film Week in 1973, the Festival of Slovenian Film is a popular film festival staged annually at the seaside resort of Portorož. For two or three days, Slovenian film makers get the opportunity to screen their films to film experts, media and movie-passionates.
Besides serving an excellent selection of new films, the 2012 edition of the festival also featured a technological première: Barco and its local business partner AVC group, the technical sponsors to the event, introduced digital cinema projection. By setting up Barco’s ultra-bright DP2K-23B digital cinema projector at the grand Amphitheater of the Auditorium, they ensured an amazing movie experience – incomparable to what visitors to the film festival had ever seen before.
