Five full days of fashion, beauty and music trends: that has been the successful format of ‘Clothes Show Live’ – the premier fashion event in the UK since 1989. Every December, thousands of fashion lovers travel to the National Exhibition Center (NEC) in Birmingham to discover the hottest, upcoming trends.
Barco rental partner XL Events has been joining forces with organizer Haymarket Exhibitions for years now to make the show a visually impressive spectacle. For the 2012 catwalk show, XL Events used quite a lot of Barco gear. Double stacks of Barco FLM-HD20 projectors flanked the LED screen on either side with scenic projection. Two Catalyst media servers fed the content onto the screens. On top of that, two Barco SLM-R12 projectors displayed live images to two large relay screens either side of the main stage.
While the models glittered on stage and the fashionistas were all excited about the trends they were spotting, Haymarket and XL Events were delighted with their set-up. “This year’s design worked extremely well and created some visually stunning backdrops,” said Phil Smith, Project Manager for XL Events, at the end of the show.
