Revitalized cabin interior unveiled with flying colors

Curtains, cushions, blankets, lie-flat and privacy seats and even sustainable carpet made from recycled KLM uniforms: these are just a few remarkable features of the brand-new cabin interior that Dutch top designer Hella Jongerius created for KLM. The Royal Dutch airline unveiled the new interior of its World Business Class line during an exclusive event for a select audience in March 2013.

Organizer Xsaga and technical producer Livetime Productions set up an impressive stage - designed by LiveLab together with the content - at the Jet Support hangar at Schiphol airport. They called in the projection expertise of Barco partner XL Video. Three Barco FLM R22+, two HDX-W14 and two Barco CLM-HD8 projectors ensured bright, crisp images on a wide screen, thus giving the audience a picture-perfect sneak peek of KLM Business Class’s exciting new look and feel.
